Sinhalese Cultural Forum is one of the leading organisations in the Sri Lankan community in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was initiated on the 25th of March 1990 with the intention of promoting, fostering and propagating the Sinhalese Cultural heritage in New South Wales and Australia within the framework of multiculturalism. Our aim is to contribute to the efforts of the Australian multicultural directive,
” The unity in diversity in one Australia”.
නිව් සවුත්වේල්ස්හි වෙසෙන ශ්‍රීලාංකික ප්‍රජාවේ ප්‍රමුඛතම සංවිධානයක් වන සිංහල සංස්කෘතික හමුව වසර 1990 දී ආරම්භකරන ලද්දේ මනා විවිධත්වයක් ඇති ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු සංස්කෘතිය තුල ශ්‍රීලාංකික සංස්කෘතික උරුමයන් ප්‍රවර්ධන හා ප්‍රචාරණය කිරීමේ අදහසිනි. අපගේ අරමුණ බහු වාර්ගික සංස්කෘතියකින් හෙබි ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු සමාජයතුල වඩාත් සාඩම්බර ලෙසින් ශ්‍රීලාංකික සලකුණ ස්ථාපිත කිරීමය.

Lokka Leda Wela-Stage Drama
The premiere stage play, “ලොක්කා ලෙඩවෙලා (Lokka Ledawela)” produced by the well-known actor Gihan Fernando, will be coming to Sydney on Saturday, 29th of March 2025 at the Performing Arts Theatre in Pacific Hills Christian School, Dural.
Packed with sharp satire, witty humour, and political twists, this must-watch performance guarantees nonstop laughter. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable evening of comedy and culture.
The play features Gihan Fernando, Chamila Peiris, Sarath Karunaratne, Jenat Anthony, Aloka Sampath, Samantha Paranaliyanage and Madhushani Wickramasinghe.

2024 අගෝස්තු 3 වන දා දියත් වුනු වසරේ දැවැන්තම ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සංස්කෘතික කලා මංගල්‍යය බක් මහ රංගන - 2024
බක් මහ රංගන 2024 ප්‍රසංගය ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ නිව් සවුත් වේල්ස් හි සංස්ථාපිත සිංහල සංස්කෘතික හමුව විසින් පෙන්රිත් නුවර ජෝන් සදර්ලන්ඩ් පර්ෆොර්මින්ග් ආර්ට්ස් සෙන්ටර් හි දි, 2024 අගෝස්තු 3 වනදා වේදිකාගත කරන ලදී. එම ප්‍රසංගය ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය කලා හැකියාවන් ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරන නර්තන, නාට්‍ය සහ සංගීත විශේෂාංග තුළින් මෙවර දේශීය මුහුණුවරකින් මනාව ඔප් නැංවී තිබිණි. 250 ට නොඅඩු වූ කලාකරුවන්, තරුණ තරුණියන් සහ දූ දැරියන් රැසක් එහි දී තම කුසලතා ප්‍රකට කළෝය.
එසේම එම ප්‍රසංගයට අතිශය අමරණීය බවක් එක් කිරීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සිට විශේෂ ආරාධනයකින් මෙහි පැමිණි විශාරද අමන්ධ්‍යා උත්පලීගේ අපූරු ගායන හා රංගන බෙහෙවින් සමත් විය. ඇය මෙම ප්‍රසංගයේදී ඇයගේ අතිශයින් ජනප්‍රිය ගීත සයක් අපේ සිනුවර විශිෂ්ට නර්තනවේදීන්/නර්තනවේදිනියන් ගේ පසුබිම් රංග කාර්යයන් හා සැසඳෙන සේ ගායනා කරමින් සභාව අමන්දානන්දයට පත් කළාය. ඒවා නම් ‘තාත්තා’, ‘රැජිනට ඇන්දා’, ‘රූප සුන්දරී’, ‘මගේ ලෝකයෙන් ඔබ මැරිලා’, ‘හිරුට ආලෙ වඩා’ සහ ‘මගෙ ආදරේ හැටි’ යන සුප්‍රකට ගීතයි.
මෙම ප්‍රසංගය ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ජනතාවගේ සංස්කෘතික උරුමය සහ විවිධත්වය ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරන්නට යෙදුනු උත්සවයක් වූ අතර, අපේ වර්තමාන තරුණ පරම්පරාවට ශ්‍රී ලාංකික මූලයන් සමග සම්බන්ධකම් ගොඩනගා ගන්නට මහඟු පිටුවහලක් වූ අවස්ථාවක්ද විය.
BAK MAHA RANGANA 2024 – THE LARGEST SRI LANKAN CULTURAL EVENT IN NEW SOUTH WALES
The Sinhalese cultural forum of NSW, Australia inc. Proudly presented an evening filled with mesmerising dance, drama, and music at the john Sutherland performing arts centre, Penrith, Australia, on 3rd august 2024. The event showcased the talents of not less than 250 performers.
This cultural spectacle was powered by a range of highly entertaining performances that brought Sri Lankan artistry to life. The highlight of the evening was the special performances delivered by the renowned invited artist from Srilanka, Aisharad Amandya Uthpalie,singing her most popular songs namely ‘Thaththa’, ‘Rejinata anda’, ‘Roopa sundaree’, ‘Mage loken oba marila’, ‘Hirutama aale wadaa’ and ‘Mage aadare hati’ captivating the audience with her exceptional talent.
This event showcased the vibrant and diverse cultural heritage of our community, continuing the tradition of bringing Sri Lankan culture to Australia while inspiring the next generation to connect with their roots.
